Score 94/100 · Drink 2027-2038, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Jan 2026

The 2023 Pinot Noir Savoy is bright and effusive in the glass. Blood orange, mint, white pepper, chalk, dried herbs and pomegranate are front and center. This juicy, mid-weight Pinot offers tons of energy and vibrancy. The 15% stems are very nicely integrated. This should drink well with minimal cellaring.

The 2023 Pinot Noir Savoy was fermented with 15% whole clusters and matured for 16 months in 30% new French oak barrels and puncheons. It has alluring scents of strawberry, pomegranate and blood orange plus nuances of black tea leaves and conifer. The palate offers a compelling savoriness that complements its high-toned red fruit. It’s framed by firm, grainy tannins and vibrant acidity and has a long, iron- and tea-laced finish. It unfurls dramatically with air and should be long lived in the cellar. 200 cases were made.
