The 2024 Beaune Clos des Mouches Rouge ler Cru has a touch of forest floor and brambly red fruit on the nose, a little more pepperiness from the whole bunch (30%). The palate is medium-bodied with quite fine tannins, the whole bunch dictating the finish at the moment with a persistency that is very impressive.
Cask/tank sample. Nervy but full of fruit. Lots of substance here and no excess acidity. Great balance; great price! Chalky texture on the end. (JR)
