The 2024 Puligny-Montrachet Village has a more austere bouquet, Zen-like with petrichor and gravelly scents. The palate is very well balanced with a keen line of acidity, strict with a sapid sour lemon-tinged finish that lingers in the mouth. This should drink well over the next decade.

Half each purchased as grapes and must. Picked on the 18th and 21st. Mid lemon yellow. The freshest of the three village wines tasted, not quite floral, but finely chiselled. Notably saline behind white stone fruit, medium length.
About the producer
Joseph Drouhin is one of the largest and most famous producers in Burgundy, making both domaine and négociant wines. It remains family-owned and run, now in the hands of the fourth generation.
