The 2024 Vosne-Romanée Village has a relatively light bouquet with dark berry fruit, just a touch of sous-bois and Italian herbs. The palate is medium-bodied with light but firm tannins matched by a keen line of acidity. Not a long-term Vosne-Village but cohesive with a sense of brightness and vitality on the finish. Drink over the next five or six years.
Note: from Les Chalandins, Quartiers de Nuits, Les Violettes and Basses Maizières plus in 2024, the 1er Beaux Monts. The spicy essence of red currant and cherry is liberally laced with hints of exotic tea and violet. The delicious, vibrant and beautifully detailed flavors exhibit surprisingly power that seems to build on the moderately firm and sneaky long finish. This is a quality Vosne villages and worth considering.*Burghound Outstanding!*
