Spice and a little bit of burnt rubber. Thick and rich but just a slight baked note on the palate too. Quite dark and savoury on the finish though the tannins are rounded. A big wine. (JH)

Very dark crimson, though with no blue left. Interesting nose – not simple fruit by any means… Smooth and succulent, more forward than most. Very long and actually pretty convincing! Lots there and very well balanced. (JR)

At several tastings, this wine was disappointing, despite the fact that the winemaking consultant is Stephane Derenoncourt’s wife, Christine. Deep ruby-colored, but light, diluted, and lacking concentration and depth, this blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc needs to be drunk during its first 7-8 years of life.

Mid-crimson. Burly, slightly oaky nose. Very, very chewy palate. Not quite enough ripe fruit in the middle. (JR)
