The 2025 Lune d'Or, pure Sémillon as usual, was cropped at 30 hl/ha and works much better on the nose than the Lune d'Argent, brighter and more vivacious, with citrus lemon, lemon verbena and Granny Smiths. The palate is well balanced and delivers the texture you want from a Sémillon, though perhaps it does not quite have the mineral drive of the 2024. Still, a very tasty Lune d'Or as usual.

Ripe melon, honeyed orange, brioche, and a subtle spicy character all emerge from the 2025 Clos Des Lunes Lune D'Or Blanc, an all-Sémillon white that will spend a year in barrels before spending another year in concrete tanks. It's slightly deeper in its light gold hue than the Lune d'Argent, and on the palate, it's medium-bodied and concentrated, with a round, layered mouthfeel and outstanding length. It's a solid step up over the Lune d'Argent.
This shows volume and concentration on the palate, moving from a broad profile to a narrower, more angular expression toward the finish while maintaining its core of concentration. Persistent and textural.
The 2025 Lune d'Or, 100% Sémillon, is very fine. Dried apricot, candied ginger, pear and crushed flowers build effortlessly in the glass. There's gorgeous textural creaminess and all the complexity to match. A winner.
