Score 90-92/100 · Drink 2029-2040, Neal Martin, May 2026

The 2025 Deyrem Valentin, one of the under-the-radar Margaux wines that often punches above its weight, has a perfumed, floral, black cherry, blueberry and violet-scented bouquet. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins and nicely judged acidity. I am just seeking a little more depth to come through on the finish, but otherwise this should give a decade of drinking pleasure, possibly more.

A rock-solid Margaux, the 2025 Château Deyrem Valentin reveals ripe red and black fruits, lead pencil, Asian spices, and some saucy, violet nuances. It's medium to full-bodied on the palate, has a focused, nicely balanced, elegant mouthfeel, and outstanding length.

The 2025 Deyrem Valentin offers up a heady mix of dark-toned fruit, cedar, spice, new leather, tobacco and chocolate. This is an especially dense, tannic style of Margaux, but the 2025 pulls it all together. It's a fine vintage for this château.
