The 2025 Rahoul takes some time to settle in the glass, again, quite high-toned and opulent blackberry and cassis fruit. It just needs a little more terroir to come through. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, a quite firm grip, touches of cedar and graphite towards the off-dry finish. It just needs more refinement and panache.

A fresh, focused Graves, the 2025 Château Rahoul reveals plums, candied violets, and darker, smoky black fruits on the nose, with some chocolaty nuances. It's medium-bodied on the palate and nicely concentrated, with solid ripeness, firm yet polished tannins, and a good finish.

A tight and juicy red with blackberry and black cherry notes, a medium body, integrated tannins and a slightly hard finish from the high percentage of petit verdot. Pine cone undertones to the dark fruit. Shows character. A blend of 53% merlot, 29% cabernet sauvignon and 18% petit verdot.

The 2025 Rahoul is a hearty, rustic wine. Black cherry, new leather, licorice, chocolate and dried herbs are all dialed in. There's quite a bit of Petit Verdot in this year's blend, which adds quite a bit of varietal savory/spicy character and structure. Tasted two times.
