The 2023 Bourgogne Blanc "Cuvée Confidentielle," so-named because Thiriet made such a tiny amount in her garage, is made from declassified Mâcon-Cruzille fruit from one of the oldest parts of the vineyard, over 100 years old. This spends ten months in barrel and one in tank. It has a succinct bouquet with Satsumas that are ageing on a warm summer's day in an old antique vase. The palate is brisk and stony with a touch of bitter lemon, gaining weight towards the finish that leaves a light white peppery aftertaste. Drink over the next four or five years.
