Medium red. Nuanced nose combines raspberry, smoked meat and flowers. The supplest and sweetest of these 2008s to this point, with a silky delicacy of texture and complex notes of raspberry, spices and flowers. Here the fine-grained tannins dust the palate, allowing the wine's fruits and spices to linger. These vines were picked at the end.

Very seductive and sweet and hedonistic nose. Very sweet. Lots of pleasure even if perhaps not enough vitality for a very long-term evolution. Berries (appropriately enough at a Berry Bros’ tasting). Finishes a little suddenly. Nice idea but... (JR)
