Lots of lemon-curd and sliced-apple aromas on the nose. Full-bodied, layered and delicious. Cream, light vanilla and stones. Drink now and enjoy. Solid energy. Second wine of Pape Clèment. Drink now.

The 2014 Châteauneuf du Pape Blanc is made from 35% Grenache, 35% Roussanne and 15% each of Clairette and Bourboulenc. Coming all from the sandy soils of the Font du Loup lieu-dit and aged eight months in a combination of stainless steel and barrique, it has a green edge to its exotic herbs, citrus rind and mineral-like aromatics. These carry to a medium-bodied, tight, fresh and elegant white that will be better in six to 12 months, and have 4-5 years of longevity.
