Cask sample. Three parcels make up 0.4 ha. Rich and glowing with animal fruit. Firm but the fruit covers the tannins nicely. Very dramatic. (JR)

The Lavaux St. Jacques 2015 is a generous wine offering plenty of fruit. In the nose ripe pinot fruit – raspberries, plum and a earthy minerality. On the palate rich and weighty for a Lavaux St. Jacques with layers of relatively sweet ripe fruit. It’s balanced and quite refined, and offer more mid-palate weight than the mineralic Bel Air. A fine Lavaux in the making – but somehow I prefer the cooler Bel Air in 2015. Mar 2016, www.winehog.org
