Medium red. Aromas of raspberry and underbrush are complicated by a musky carnal quality and a note of mocha. Offers lovely sweetness and breadth for a 2014 village wine, with brown spices dominating the middle palate. Has the stuffing to buffer its tannins, finishing with very good spicy length.

Bright, medium ruby-red. Aromas of black raspberry and smoke show attractive perfumed lift. Nicely concentrated and sweet, with a chocolatey ripeness and a rather pliant texture that should give this wine earlier drinkability than the village Gevrey.

Sweet and direct. Quite rich and forward. Lots of chew and vigour. More body than some earlier vintages. (JR)
