Score 89-91/100 · Allen Meadows, Burghound

(from 50+ year old vines in Champ Perrier, Les Jeunes Rois and Chazière). Reduction and wood are all that can be detected at the moment. On the plus side there is lovely freshness to the equally dense, serious and mouth coating middle weight flavors that possess a lush mid-palate that contrasts markedly with the powerful finish that isn’t quite as vibrant plus there is a subtle touch of warmth. Still, this is a fine villages. Dec 2016, www.burghound.com
