Score 89-91/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Nov 2016

(Bernstein added 50% Evocelles to his fruit from Carrougeot and Epointures in 2015): Dark, bright red. Aromas of raspberry and musky game show a slightly liqueur-like quality. Very ripe, plush and sweet but with enticing minerality and harmonious acidity giving shape to the cherry fruit. This ripely tannic, long village wine should offer early sex appeal.

(from Carougeot and Epointures). Reduction flattens the nose though the underlying fruit seems ripe. There is fine richness, volume and mid-palate concentration to the sleek, round and seductively textured flavors that offer reasonably good depth on the acceptably long finish. This is very ripe but manages to avoid a sense of heaviness that should drink well over the mid-term. Dec 2016, www.burghound.com
