NB vintage, Slightly darker colour than the 2015. Richer, sweeter. A bit less fresh and precise. But it is probably fresher than the 2015 average. (JR)

Mid cherry. Ripe and meaty (but not bretty) on the nose, with inviting sweet spice of oak surrounding the rich fruit. Firm, a little bit oaky, but has the fruit to carry it. Lovely balance with freshness to the persistent finish. (JH)

This was just sufficiently reduced to suggest that a quick aeration would be beneficial. Otherwise there is a seductive yet quite serious palate feel to the sleek and refined medium-bodied flavors that also exude a fine bead of minerality on the balanced and beautifully well-defined finale. This is slightly firmer and I would suggest waiting at least a few years before diving in. Dec 2016, www.burghound.com
