This is starting to lose its freshness so that there is some slightly sugary fruit and a little astringency but it is (just) hanging on in there. Past its best though. (JR)

Light brilliant orange-pink. Intense, expansive aromas of fresh red berries, orange, peach and vanilla, accompanied by smoky mineral and floral overtones. Sappy, concentrated and smoky on the palate, offering densely packed raspberry, tangerine and buttered toast flavors and a repeating vanilla note. Blind, I'd have guessed that this was a serious white Burgundy. Shows outstanding energy and mineral lift on the very long, supple finish, which echoes the floral and smoke notes.

Made from Sacha Lichine's oldest (up to 80-year-old) Grenache and Vermentino/Rolle vines in burgundian oak. Very pale salmon pink with the lightest greyish hue. Very fresh, pure nose and beautiful balance on the palate. Lovely smokiness. The best wine from this address so far. Very refined and chock full of characterful fruit. Assured and refreshing. Lightly bitter on the end in an attractive way. Very much better than the previous two vintages. (JR)
