Checking in as 100% Sauvignon Blanc, the 2016 Château Couhins-Lurton Blanc is a racy effort that has vibrant notes of crushed citrus, key lime pie, and tart pineapple to go with a layered, medium-bodied, nicely textured style on the palate. This beauty makes you salivate with its bright acidity and minerality on the finish and is a top-notch effort.

The 2016 Couhins-Lurton Blanc has a fresh, slightly minty bouquet that lacks the delineation of its peers. The well-balanced palate is quite cohesive and poised, offering a fine bead of acidity and orange peel and hints of quince jelly toward the satisfying finish. Very fine.

This has an attractive, reductive edge with a neat array of bright, fresh citrus and melon aromas, leading to a palate that has a succulent, juicy resolve and a nice, even-paced build and balance. Pure sauvignon blanc. Drink or hold.
