Score 90/100 · Drink 2016-2024, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Aug 2016

The 2014 Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu has an attractive bouquet with subtle hints of candy floss and bergamot lending complexity to the citrus fruit, which appears to gain more and more complexity in the glass. The palate is crisp and fresh on the entry, well balanced with a slight savory note on the back palate. This demonstrates fine weight and focus, gently fanning out with oyster shell and smoke on the persistent finish. This is one of the better offerings from Laroche in 2014 and it comes recommended.
