2016 Gevrey Chambertin Les Perrieres

The 2016 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru La Perrière unfurls in the glass with lavish suggestions of ripe cassis, red fruit compote and a generous framing of toasty wood. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, supple and satiny-textured, with racy acids, a concentrated core of fruit and a nicely defined but oak-inflected finish. This is one of the most integrated and harmonious cuvées among the Guillon 2016s that I tasted.
