The debut 2013 Santenay 1er Cru Clos des Gravieres comes from limestone-rich soils planted with five-year-old vines being given advice from a pocket of 50-year-old vines. It has a reserved stony, flinty bouquet with touches of gunpowder: very focused, but holding something back. The palate is very well balanced with a fine line of acidity, light white peach and orange sorbet notes segueing into an understated but very pretty finish. Dec 2014, www.robertparker.com
