The 2012 Merlot Filip is deep, fleshy and seductive, all qualities that will make it virtually hard to resist in its youth. Plum, raspberry jam and pomegranate are pushed forward. The silky, plush tannins so often found in the Filip add to the wine's voluptuous, generous personality. Subtle and yet also remarkably deep, the 2012 has so much going on. In 2012, both Merlots are stunning. The Filip is more gracious, while the Buri offers more power and overall structure.
