Light brilliant orange. Fresh strawberry, melon and nectarine scents plus a hint of candied orange peel. Silky and open-knit, showing good depth to the juicy pit fruit and red berry flavors. Finishes supple and long, leaving juicy peach and honeydew melon notes behind.

This is the real McCoy for this price point. The freshness here is undeniable, as it exudes citrus, rose petals, nectarines, sliced dill and coriander and the signature strawberries and cream. Flavorful and intense on the medium- to full-bodied palate yet so very restrained and elegant. Super-value wine as always. Drink now.

Patrick Léon's last vintage. Pale salmon. Smells very much of winemaking, but then it is only very few months old. Lolly aromas and then sweet and sour, really quite high in acidity, on the end. A bit sickly/sticky on the front palate. And then rather hollow in the middle. (JR)
