Bright medium red. Musky, reduced aromas of strawberry, raspberry, smoked meat and animal fur. A fine-grained, spicy wine with moderate ripeness but good juicy appeal. Finishes with attractive floral lift and a smooth dusting of tannins.

The 2016 Morey-Saint-Denis Village felt more expressive and cohesive compared to the Chambolle-Musigny village, offering enticing blackberry and briary scents. The palate is well balanced, the 10% new oak discrete and lending weight toward the nicely structured, limestone-tinged finish. Lots of energy here and there is great promise, especially commendable for a village cru.
