Classic, pure and elegant, with textbook orchard fruits, buttered citrus, flower oil and lemon peel, the 2014 Hermitage Domaine des Tourettes Blanc is medium to full-bodied, fresh and pure, with building richness and a great finish. It's a rocking white readers should buy by the case. Drink it over the coming decade or more.

Pale gold. Ripe, expansive citrus and pit fruits on the nose, along with suggestions of jasmine, chamomile and iodine. Deeply concentrated but minerally and focused, offering palate-staining tangerine, pear skin and fennel flavors underscored and lifted by zesty minerality. Shows outstanding clarity and thrust on a very long, minerally finish that emphatically echoes the pear and floral notes.
