Bright purple color. Expressive aromas of red berries, potpourri, minerals and olive, plus a hint of cracked pepper. Lively, focused red and dark berry flavors are underscored by racy minerality and framed by silky tannins. The finish is sappy, focused and very persistent, leaving sweet dark berry and floral notes behind. I find this awfully attractive right now.

Inky purple. Sexy raspberry, cherry and potpourri on the nose, along with smoky minerals and gunpowder. Tangy red fruit flavors are medium in weight but pack solid punch, picking up fine-grained tannins with air. As graceful as the 2006, but this is showing even more depth and power. Finishes with impressive persistence and vivid red fruit qualities.
