Score 90-92/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2013

(from drier soil just above Clos de la Roche): Good bright, medium red. Cherry, raspberry, minerals and spicy oak on the nose. Then high-pitched and vibrant in the mouth, showing noteworthy detail to the perfumed red fruit and blood orange flavors. The tannins are slightly clenched but the finish is long and fresh. Should make a very penetrating premier cru.
