Bottled. More stony than the Garenne. And a fine herbal freshness. Tight, pure, then creamy on the finish. Not intense but well balaced. (JH)

The 2018 Puligny-Montrachet Les Referts 1er Cru has a more quintessential Puligny bouquet compared to the more flamboyant but perhaps less noble Champs Canet. This offers gunflint and limestone aromas, strict but satisfying. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, fresh and vivid with superb tension and energy towards the finish. This is a well crafted Les Referts from Jean-Marc Boillot that should age well in bottle.
