100% Carignan. Old bush vines planted in 1955. Dry-farmed, ploughing with horses. Ambient yeasts and minimal use of sulphites before bottling. Reduced (truffle, earth), although very aromatic. It has smashed black fruit, concentrated, with a lot of aroma. The texture is quite smooth, a wild profile and shows some bitterness (in a good way). It is a delicate, deep profile, with the classic lifted acidity of Carignan. Quite complex. A very good wine that extracts great finesse. (FC)

Sweaty, confected nose with very ripe bramble fruit and an acetic element. Lots of flavour going on, although not in the most attractive spectrum, for me. (RH)
