The 2019 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru is well-defined and focused, with finely integrated oak on the nose and ample mineralité coming through. The palate is taut and fresh, though it delivers the weight and depth one expects from this vineyard. Almost Corton-Charlemagne-like on the waxy-textured finish. This has a lot of potential.

3 ha on the upper slope planted in 1958 and 1968. Tank sample. Smokily reductive with a note of struck match. Rich, chewy, deep. Herby citrus fruit, rich and ripe but with excellent balancing acidity. Long, too. (JH)
