The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Champeaux bursts with aromas of plums, wild berries, rose petals and warm spices. Medium to full-bodied, lively and concentrated, with bright acids and rich, velvety tannins, it's deep and seamless, concluding with a long, perfumed finish.

Purple in colour of medium plus density. Has reduced the new oak here which slightly softens the bouquet in an attractive way. A fine perfumed nose, floral notes underpinned by the raspberries of the vintage, graceful and very persistent. This is extremely nicely done. Fine. Tasted: November 2021
