Tasting notes

Tasting notes
FINE+RARE, Oct 2021

These are some of David’s oldest vines – averaging 70 years in age. Their deep roots were an advantage in 2020’s dry conditions, and the resulting wine is unsurprisingly concentrated. It is however far from rustic – but bright and vibrant, with the village’s typical structure. It’s deliciously dark-fruited but with a chalky freshness and crunchy, cranberry lift on the palate. Lively and charming, with a line of minerality, this is moreish Gevrey.
