Score 91/100 · Drink 2024-2040, Neal Martin, May 2022

The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Prieur 1er Cru has a perfumed, transparent bouquet with red cherries, crushed strawberry and light mineral scents. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit and fine acidity, with a sense of energy and tension on the finish. Enjoy this over the next 15-20 years.

Score 90-92/100 · Drink 2024-2037, Neal Martin, Dec 2021

The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Prieur 1er Cru has a tightly-wound bouquet, a mixture of red and blueberry fruit, fine delineation, quite perfumed and more floral in style than its peers. The palate is bright and vivacious, the red fruit a little confit in style like the Craipillot, though it displays a little more gusto and joie-de-vivre . This is worth seeking out.
