The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Très Vieilles Vignes offers up aromas of sweet wild berries, peonies, plums, orange rind and exotic spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered palate that's deep and concentrated, concluding with a long, penetrating finish. It's a real success.

The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Cuvée de Très Vieilles Vignes has a beautifully defined bouquet with performed black cherries, wild strawberry and blood orange scents that possess real drive and energy. The palate is medium-bodied with a sorbet-fresh entry, a citrus-driven Gevrey-Chambertin that feels nimble and tensile. That infectious freshness disguises the concentration of fruit on the finish that delivers a welcome subtle bitter edge that draws you back for another sip. Excellent.
