Cask sample. Fine balance between tannic, spicy Morey style and some perfumed Chambolle characters. Good density and ripeness with elegant tannins, well-integrated wood and fresh acid. Classy stuff. Decent value. (AWH)

The 2020 Morey-Saint-Denis Clos Sorbé 1er Cru has a vivacious bouquet with dark cherries, blueberry and light violet scents all nicely defined, the oak neatly integrated. The palate is well balanced with fine tannins, rich but focused with a fine line of acidity. Velvety smooth on the finish with just a hint of dark chocolate on the aftertaste, this is an excellent Morey-Sant-Denis.
