This is mesmerising – really showing the class of its terroir. The aromatics shift endlessly. It is bright, sweet, dark, savoury and pure. Fruit, florals, smoke, mineral and sweet spice all swirl together, vying for attention. There’s a clear framework on the palate, but lush, round sweet cherry fruit fills it out, with a creamy density and power. A wine of incredible finesse yet power, this is a classic “iron fist in a velvet glove”.
