The 2021 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru is backward and reticent on the nose, doesn't really translate the essence of the terroir this year, denuded by the growing season rather than winemaking. The palate is better with more tension than the Genevrières. Slight oxidation lends a flor-like note that adds intrigue, though how will that play out once in bottle?

Aromas of citrus zest, crisp green apple, white flowers and freshly baked bread introduce the 2021 Meursault 1er Cru Perrières, a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy wine that's taut and incisive, concluding with a saline finish.
