Cask sample. Dark crimson. Oak a little obvious on the nose. But luscious fruit on the palate with some real drive and a lightly pinched, slightly bitter, drying finish. (JR)

The 2020 Morey-Saint-Denis Les Genavrières 1er Cru offers brambly red berry fruit mixed with sous-bois and white pepper courtesy of the 80% whole bunch. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fine acidity, elegant and poised with a slightly fresher, more detailed finish compared to the Les Millandes. This is an excellent, beautifully-crafted Morey-Saint-Denis.
