Score 93/100 · Drink 2017-2024, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Dec 2016

The 2014 Malanser Pinot Noir is a cuvée from five different vineyards planted with four different clones from Burgundy on slate and chalk. Fermented with 10% whole clusters and aged for 11 months in french barriques (70% new), this Pinot offers a clear, fresh and slightly oaky/toasty bouquet of ripe but also fresh Pinots. Full-bodied, fresh and firm on the palate, this is a silky textured, juicy and powerful red with fine tannins and a remarkably fresh acidity.
