The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin La Brunelle is more savoury on the nose than Roty's other cuvées, touches of freshly rolled tobacco filtering through the black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine delineation, taut and fresh, quite pure and silky in texture towards the finish. This is very promising - a commendable Village Cru.

The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin La Brunelle is quintessentially sensual and charming, wafting from the glass with aromas of raspberries, licorice, sweet spices and petals, framed by a deft touch of toasty oak. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and seamless, it's lively and refined, with a vibrant, enveloping core of fruit and a mouthwatering finish.
