Score 87-89/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2016

(from vines on very chalky soil next to Clos Sorbé): Medium red. Vibrant aromas of crushed stone, minerals, spices and white pepper. Then quite saline in the mouth, with the fruit in the background. Gives an impression of less ripeness but higher pH than the Chambolle premier crus. Fresh enough on the back end but the tannins show a touch of dryness.
