Good medium red. Liqueur-like red berries and a note of black walnut on the nose; shows the grenache side of the vintage. Then fresher in the mouth, creamy and concentrated, with a peppery aspect. But ultimately a wine of moderate sweetness. Finishes with a slightly dry suggestion of nut skin.

(not vinified by Jadot) Medium ruby-red. Aromatic nose melds blackberry, flowers and licorice. Supple and fruit-driven, but shows less nuance and depth than the Echezeaux. With a bit less middle-palate breadth and intensity, the finish shows a slight dryness. Could use a bit more verve. A less sophisticated wine than most of the Lardiere cuvees
