The 2022 Brown has a rather backward nose at first, opening with black fruit mixed with touches of loam and dark chocolate. The palate is medium-bodied and fresh, with a fleshy opening, good weight and subtle peppery notes mixed with brine towards the finish. There is harmony here. This is a very well-made Château Brown to enjoy over the next 15 years or so.

Plump ruby colour and texture, bitter black chocolate and espresso, cassis and bilberry fruit, pretty good actually, has orange peel lift on the finish, ready to go but will keep delivering for next decade.

Notes of chocolate, dark berry, nutmeg and dried orange peel. Full-bodied. Tannins are structured and velvety with a chalkiness to them. Compact and lingering.
