Bright yellow. Tight nose hints at crushed stone and menthol, plus a whiff of petrol. Tactile, intense and clean; shows strong minerality and acidity, and the nervosité that comes from calcaire , and yet it's not austere. A lovely ripe peach flavor emerged with air.

(from vines planted in 1974 and 1950): Musky wet stone and lemon on the nose. Boasts almost painful cut to its tight flavors of citrus peel, minerals and sexy soil tones; showing much more fruit and minerality than the young 2015 edition. Finishes lemony and taut, with notes of humid vegetable matter and crushed stone. This will need patience.
