Score 90/100 · Drink 2025-2045, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Feb 2020

The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Village is showing well, delivering a lovely bouquet of cherries, chassis, smoked meats, rich soil tones and licorice. Medium to full-bodied, supple and succulent, it's fleshy and layered, with a charming core of fruit and a precise finish. As I wrote last year, it's a blend derived from four parcels located in Champerrier du Bas, Charreux, Les Crais and La Platière.

The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Village has a refined bouquet of wild strawberry and raspberry preserve aromas that are neatly entwined with the oak. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, crunchy red berry fruit laced with white pepper, and a precise, sustained, spicy finish. Very fine.

The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Village has a lilting bouquet of redcurrant and raspberry fruit, the oak well integrated, hints of sous-bois infusing the "playful" aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy and slightly chalky tannin on the entry. This has wonderful balance, quite dense and focused with hints of blood orange and marmalade lending complexity on the finish. This is a Village Cru that is punching above its weight.
