A little raw on the nose. Lots of juicy fruit. Very crisp and chiselled. I wouldn’t mind a little more lusciousness! Very chewy end. (JR)

Dark cherry, plum, lavender, violet, spice and mint infuse Camille Giroud's Santenay Clos Rousseau 1er Cru. Pliant, supple and inviting, the 2016 will drink well with minimal cellaring. The interlay of supple fruit and lifted aromatics is alluring. - Antonio Galloni

Cask sample. Lightish cherry red. Delicate, red fruited, silky and deliciously sweet-fruited. Pure pleasure with just the right level of firm but fine tannins to make a harmonious whole. GV (JH)
