Score 89-91/100 · Drink 2023-2036, Neal Martin, Dec 2021

The 2020 Echézeaux Grand Cru, which is 15% whole bunch, felt quite muted on the nose and didn’t really express itself on the day of my visit. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, a little foursquare, quite fresh but I would like a little more flesh on the finish. Not bad, although I prefer some of the Premier Cru Domaine offerings.

About the producer

Duroche - Producer
Domaine Duroche

Domaine Duroché has, under Pierre Duroché, become one of the most sought-out and respected wine domaines in Gevrey-Chambertin. The wines are delicate and detailed, yet with old-vine intensity, a clear sense of place and style – and it’s easy to see why they’ve rapidly become so in-demand.
