Good full, deep red. Slightly reduced but nuanced aromas of currant, black raspberry, violet, licorice and sassafras. At once sweet and savory, with strong supporting structure to the chewy dark berry and spice flavors. A bit youthfully musclebound today but this very young wine possesses the energy and depth to reward patience.

(from Mazoyeres) Bright, deep red. Blackberry, black cherry and violet aromas are complicated by musky licorice. Sappy, sweet and concentrated, with a deep spicy character to its fruit and building back-end sweetness. This very young wine is dense and long but not hard.
