Cask sample. Very delicate, pale colour but a fine, elegant and ethereal style of Gevrey. Purity of fruit, oak in very good balance, fresh acidity and fine tannin. Should age well. (AWH)

The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Prieur 1er Cru shows a bit of reduction, yet there is attractive fruit here, well-defined with light white peppery notes infusing the red fruit. The palate feels a little undernourished and is missing some weight and complexity, tapering a little on the finish.
