Score 90/100 · Drink 2025-2031, Jeb Dunnuck, Mar 2024

The 2021 Saint Joseph Les Pierres Sèches is a layered, medium-bodied, nicely textured 2021 that has lots to love. Spicy red fruits, mulberries, leather, and savory herb and violet notes give way to a balanced, enjoyable Saint Joseph that has the appellation minerality and structure. It's going to benefit from a few years of bottle age and keep nicely through 2031.

The 2021 Saint-Joseph Les Pierres Sèches presents restrained red fruits alongside black cherry and hints of black pepper. Light- to medium-bodied, the 2021 contains fairly low flavor concentration and finishes rather short.
